Wild Country Carabiners

Wild Country is a small, British company based in the Peak District, one of the UK’s most famous rock climbing areas.

Its origins date back to the 1970s when Ray Jardine & Mark Valance, two climbing instructors, got together to produce “the Friend” – the world’s first camming device. It soon began manufacturing harnesses, rock shoes and, of course, carabiners.

Wild Country is owned and run by climbers who know the importance of safety. So, they have added layers of safety practices on top of those required by the law. They claim that Wild Country gear is the safest in the world.
